This patriotic race is held to honour the heroic deeds of the defenders of Ukraine who died fighting for the independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine.

Last year, foreign partners also joined the event. Now there are hopes that the race, which is jointly organised by the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine, the Zakarpattia Regional Military Administration, and the Regional Centre for Physical Health "Sport for All", will bring together even more participants from around the world.

Registration started on 5 August at 10.00 a.m. and will last until 13 August. You can register both in Ukraine and abroad. Participants have the opportunity to receive a number with the name of a fallen Hero or choose this number themselves if they want to run for their colleague, relative or loved one. This is a big plus, because in this way we will be able to attract more participants, which will allow us to remind of many fallen soldiers.

The patriotic race is a good example of how Ukrainians remember all the fallen heroes and continue to support those who are now on the front line.

To take part in the race "Honouring Soldiers, Running for the Heroes of Ukraine", please register by 13 August at https://timer.newrun.com.ua/event/121. There are three distances to choose from - 2, 5 or 10 km.
It is very easy to join the race if you are abroad: you need to post a photo or video on social media with the hashtags #Beginning_for_a_Hero_2024 and #zahid2024.
