International Museum Day in Uzhhorod Castle
This year's International Museum Day events at our museum will be framed by the castle's thousand-year history, secular traditions, and folk culture, as this year's ICOM (International Council of Museums) theme is: "Museums Unite a Divided World". Therefore, we will demonstrate the unity of different cultures, eras, and traditions together.
It's waiting for you:
10:00 – 18:00 – Open House and free admission to the museum;
10:00 – 11:00 – Opening of events and official part with musical accompaniment by the Honoured Academic Transcarpathian Folk Choir; 11:00 – 12:00 – Opening of the renewed exhibition "Folk Musical Instruments and Folk Costume of Transcarpathia" with the participation of the orchestra group of the Honoured Academic Transcarpathian Folk Choir
13:00 – 14:00 – Opening of the exhibition "History of Budapest Cafes" in conjunction with the Consulate General of Hungary in Uzhhorod with interesting musical accompaniment;
14:00 – 15:00 – Opening of the drawing exhibition "Aesthetics of Flora" by Ihor Zemlianskyi and Aliona Bobko;
15:00 – 16:00 – Special Surprise: An interesting addition to one of our permanent exhibitions.
18 May (Monday)
10:00 – 18:00 Uzhhorod Castle (Kapitulna 33, various castle locations) free entry throughout the day!
