We are pleased to share the news that International Museum Day is coming soon. Traditionally, on 18 May, all museums around the world open their exhibitions to the public.
That is why on 18 May 2024, the entrance to our museum will be free of charge. You will not only be able to enjoy a walk through the skansen, but also join our programme!
May:
14.15 - Open-air tour of the museum's permanent exhibition. The tour will be conducted by the museum director Vasyl Kotsan as part of the Open Tours of Uzhhorod project.
May:
13.00 - a solemn meeting of the staff of the Transcarpathian Museum of Folk Architecture and Rural Life on the occasion of their professional holiday.
14.00 - opening of the exhibition of paintings by members of the Creative Association of Professional Artists of Transcarpathia "Uzhhorod - Spring 2024", as well as a personal retrospective exhibition of works by Mykhailo Belen, dedicated to the 50th anniversary of his artistic activity.
May - entrance to the museum is free:
11.00 - opening of the Regional Children's Folklore Festival-Competition "Rainbow Chime".
From 12.00 to 14.00 for children: traditional children's games and entertainments on the territory of the estate from the village of Tybava, Svalyava district.

An exhibition and sale of children's literature by writer Halyna Malyk.
A children's win-win lottery and a footcourt from the Movement to Support Transcarpathian Soldiers charity.
A meeting with folk artists and a fair and sale of decorative and applied arts.

10.00 - 11.00 - clay modelling by Liudmyla Hubal;
12.00 - 13.00 - pottery - Andrii Zubenko;
12.00 - 14.00 - beadwork by Maria Kupar;
making a goat from hemp thread - Olena Selezneva;
making jewellery from clay - Nelya Shandor;
knitted toys - Oksana Dychka;
Embroidery by Hanna Haiduk.
In addition, visitors will be able to taste and buy:
sweets from Tatiana Khrushch;
goodies from Lyubov Povidaychyk;
wine and grape juice from the Muska family winery.
