Photo exhibition "My Maidan"
The museum will open an exhibition dedicated to an important page in Ukrainian history - the Revolution of Dignity
The photo exhibition "My Maidan" will be presented by UNIAN's Kyiv photojournalist Oleksandr Synytsia.
25 February, Tuesday
15.00 hrs.
The upper exhibition hall of the Transcarpathian Museum of Folk Architecture and Life.
"My Maidan" is not just photographs, it is living emotions, memories and unforgettable dramatic and tragic moments of the Revolution of Dignity.
The exhibition will feature more than 60 reportage photographs - vivid testimonies of the tumultuous events, reflections of the inner state of those who stood side by side on the winter Maidan.
The idea of creating a photo exhibition was preceded by the intention to release an album of works by UNIAN photojournalists who were in the epicentre of the events from the first to the last day with cameras in hand: Yevhen Maloletka, Volodymyr Hontar, Vladyslav Musienko and the author of the exhibition, Oleksandr Synitsa. However, the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russian aggressors destroyed these plans. But Oleksandr Synytsia managed to create an exhibition of his own works about the events of 11 years ago.
These photographs show, first and foremost, the faces of the Maidan protesters: their determination and confidence in the rightness of their actions, their unwavering belief in Ukraine's European future. Each element of the photographs contains deep symbols that reflect the passionate desire of Ukrainians to fight for their dignity and freedom.
We sincerely invite you to visit the exhibition and remember the historical events in which many Ukrainians took part!
