Exhibitions "Ethnic Palette of Transcarpathia" and "Culture in War"

Transcarpathian museums have united to present exhibitions dedicated to the cultural and historical heritage of Ukrainians during the difficult period of war with the aggressor.
The Uzhhorod Skansen offers an exhibition of authentic folk costumes, original works by master embroiderers, ceramists, carvers, coopers, as well as interior fabrics and household items to show the ethnographic palette of Transcarpathia. The exhibition features women's and men's costumes of the Hutsuls of Rakhiv district, Borzhava valley dwellers, Boikos, Lemkos, as well as Hungarians, Romanians and Slovaks of the region.
In its turn, the Transcarpathian Regional Local History Museum exhibits artefacts combined with multimedia technologies. Viewers can see a model of the castle built in 1763-1765, a portrait of the founder of museums in Transcarpathia, Tyvodar Lehotskyi. The exhibition displays exhibits from the battlefield, flags of military units, elements of our and enemy weapons.
The exhibitions will be open in the atrium of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration until 7 February.
