Exhibition "The Naive Unnaive"

Exhibition "The Naive Unnaive"

Already this week, Transcarpathians and guests of the region will be able to enjoy an unusual exhibition in the museum.

"Naive is not naive"
Residence "Sorry, no rooms" (curated by Alexander Lyapin)
15 November 2024, Friday
16:00
Transcarpathian Museum of Folk Architecture and Rural Life (33a Kapitulna St., Uzhhorod, Ukraine)

The title of the exhibition is "Naïve Unnaïve" because it is naïve in form, but global in content. The aim is to show the diversity of this powerful art movement in the region and the dynamics of its development. When creating the exhibition, we tried to show not only the variety of styles and techniques, but also the dynamics and directions of development of the art of auto-didacts, and emphasise their peculiar artistic and philosophical power.

In naïve art, the very act of conveying an inner state, an experience, the very desire to express oneself without filtering, a kind of intention, a kind of conceptualism, is valuable.
