AUSTRALIAN GUEST ALEXANDER LUKSKY TO OPEN THE VIII INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL "MUSIC WITHOUT BORDERS"
Very soon, on the main stage of the region, the audience will be able to travel through musical spaces and enjoy music that overcomes both geographical and genre-style barriers. The Music Without Borders International Festival, organised by the Transcarpathian Regional Philharmonic, is a musical celebration of the region and invites music lovers to meet outstanding performers and bands from different parts of Ukraine and abroad, as well as unique music programmes by world and Ukrainian composers.
This year's festival will be opened by a guest from Australia, a native of Ukraine, winner of top prizes at more than a dozen international competitions, including the International Guitar Competition in Tokyo Oleksandr Tsybulsky / guitar.
Guitarist Oleksandr Tsybulsky's performing work is highly regarded for its "fluidity, subtlety, emotional energy" (Herald-Times, USA) and "sensitive virtuosity" (The Age, Melbourne). With the help of a prestigious Fulbright scholarship, Tsybulsky received his higher education in the United States of America. Oleksandr has given TEDx talks on music education, been nominated for an ARIA award and participated in the jury of the most prestigious international competitions.
