A woman... How much is hidden in this word: strength and tenderness, awe and will... The role of a woman is important in Ukrainian society. It is impossible to imagine any sphere of life without her - from culture to science, from everyday life to public activities.
On 25 February, the Ukrainian Women's Day is celebrated, so the museum staff has planned an interesting event for you on this occasion - a thematic lecture and a masterclass.
"Woman in the traditional culture of Ukrainians in Transcarpathia"
Head of the Department of Scientific and Educational Work Tetiana Sologub-Kotsan will talk about what a Transcarpathian woman was like through the prism of folk customs and beliefs.
Masterclass on decorating eco-bags using embossing and painting techniques
After the lecture, you will be able to create a unique bag decorated with traditional Transcarpathian patterns! The craftswoman, head of the exposition and research department, Viktoriia Symkovych (Viktoriia Kolka-Symkovych) will be happy to teach you the basics of the craft.
