XIII Nataliya Vissich International Organ Music Festival
The Transcarpathian Regional Philharmonic is the main concert institution of the region. It is here, as a special highlight, that the unique concert organ of the famous Czech firm "Riger Kloss", installed in 1974, offers solace to listeners with its magnificent sound and beautiful acoustics.
This year, following a fine tradition, the philharmonic cordially invites you to the XIIIth International Festival of Organ Music named after Nataliya Vysich, which will bring together performers and ardent admirers of organ music on the region's main stage. The festival was established in 2008. Its initiator and inspirer was the philharmonic's solo organist, Honoured Artist of Ukraine, Nataliya Vysich. In 2015, the festival was named in her honour. Today, the pride of Transcarpathia's organ school are Nataliya Vysich's students – Kateryna HAZHO, Nataliya LENDYEL, Oleksandra VOROTYNTSEVA, Marianna DOBRA, Lesya HAIDUK, Olha CHUNDAK, Tetiana TISHCHENKO, Kateryna SHAPRAN, Andriy CHYRSKY, and others.
Visitors can expect 4 concerts – performances by the best Ukrainian organists and renowned musicians from Austria and Hungary, as well as interesting programmes and unexpected collaborations. The concert programmes feature both classical works for organ and original arrangements, as well as works by European composers from the past to the present day performed by true virtuosos of organ art. The sounds of the organ will be combined with other musical instruments.
From 10 to 25 September, we invite you to a whirlwind of vibrant events:
10 September – Festival Opening, "ORGAN AND ORCHESTRA: UNITY OF THE ELEMENTS" featuring KATERINA GAZHO accompanied by the ACADEMIC SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA conducted by Honoured Artist of Ukraine VIKTORIA SVALIAVCHYK-TSANKO.
