Transcarpathian Regional Organisational and Methodological Centre of Culture announces the regional festival of choreographic art named after Josyp Voloshchuk.

The event will take place on May 3rd at the House of Culture in Velykyi Bychkiv village. Starting at 13:00.

The festival is held with the aim of preserving folk art, the cultural identity of national minorities and ethnic groups, developing folk choreographic art, reviving and popularising folk dances of Transcarpathia, as well as honouring the artistic heritage of Yosyp Voloshchuk – a renowned collector of choreographic folklore, and an Honoured Worker of Culture of Ukraine.

Amateur choreography ensembles from cultural institutions of a club type, art educational institutions, art schools, extracurricular education institutions, choreography studios, and public organisations are invited to participate, with no age restrictions.

Participants submit a programme of two choreographic pieces in the folk-stage choreography genre. The deadline for applications is 20 April.
