We remember and bow to the Heroes who gave their lives for our freedom and independence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Literary and Art Festival \"Chendei-fest 2025\"<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Date: 21-24 June<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">21\u201324 August will be the sixth <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/share\/p\/17Vvp3tMTg\/\">Literary and arts festival&nbsp;<strong>Chendey Fest 2025<\/strong><\/a>dedicated to popularising the works of the 20th-century Ukrainian classic, prose writer and public figure Ivan Chendei. The festival's events will take place in several cities and towns in the region: Uzhhorod, Chynadiyevo, Khust, Tiachiv, Novoselytsia and Dubove.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The festival is held under the slogan&nbsp;<strong>Art is a means of preserving a nation's historical identity.<\/strong>&nbsp;This will unite writers, academics, filmmakers, actors and journalists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The programme includes literary and theatrical events, film screenings, musical performances, book presentations, excursions, panel discussions, the unveiling of a memorial plaque, and the raising of the State Flag of Ukraine on Mount Yasenova.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As part of the festival, there will be a traditional screening of a film by Sergei Parajanov.&nbsp;<strong>Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors<\/strong>&nbsp;(co-screenwriter \u2013 Ivan Chendei), and also films by Vyacheslav Bigun&nbsp;<strong>The Light and Shadows of Ivan Chendei<\/strong>&nbsp;Taras Tomenko's&nbsp;<strong>A Sentimental Journey to Parajanov's Planet<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Funds will be raised for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during all events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The festival is organised with the support of the Ivan Chendei International Charitable Foundation, the Department of Culture, Youth and Sports of the Uzhhorod City Council, and the Tiachiv City Council.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">2) B<strong>Charity mini-fair and vernissage<\/strong><strong> In Uzhhorod<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Date: 21-22 August<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Time: Starts at 11:00<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From the 21st to the 22nd of August, to mark the Days of the State Flag of Ukraine and Ukraine's Independence Day, a [event] will take place on Teatralna Square in Uzhhorod.&nbsp;<strong>Charity mini-fair and exhibition of paintings<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Municipal Establishment \"Regional Organisational and Methodological Centre of Culture\" of the Transcarpathian Regional Council will present an exhibition of works by winners of regional competitions among students from the region's art schools. Bokshai Transcarpathian Regional Art Museum. The event is organised by the Transcarpathian branch of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Visitors will be able to view and purchase works by Transcarpathian artists, contributing to a charitable cause. The event will be of interest to those who are passionate about theatre, folklore and traditional Ukrainian culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The programme includes a screening of the documentary film \"How the 'Gerdan' Sounds\" and a workshop on traditional Transcarpathian Rusyn singing with the renowned ethno-singer Myroslava Kopynets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">10) <strong>Photo of a Patriot charity event<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">23\u201324 August, the traditional event will take place on Independence Embankment <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/share\/p\/17DsvwaLAs\/\">Charity event&nbsp;<strong>Photo of a patriot<\/strong>,<\/a> to mark Ukraine\u2019s National Flag Day and Independence Day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Anyone who wishes to do so can take part in a patriotic photo shoot: you can have beautiful portraits taken in the Ukrainian style in return for a donation of your choice to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Participants can expect:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>themed photo zone with Ukrainian decor<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>authentic costumes,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the national flag as the principal symbol of unity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All funds raised will be donated to assist the defenders of Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Organisers are inviting photographers to join the event and are also urging all concerned individuals to share the information and support the initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">11) <strong>Charity Independence Day: Palanok &amp; TeaRun<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Date: 24 August<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On Sunday, we will be celebrating Ukraine's Independence Day. On this occasion, two charity events will be held:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>At Palanok Castle, they will boil\u00a0<strong>Victory Square<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The only tea plantation in Ukraine will host\u00a0<strong>TeaRun sports race<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is a continuation of last year's TeaRun 2024 \u2013 which was the first tea run. This year's start has special significance: it is dedicated to and in memory of&nbsp;<strong>Anatolii Pasiyevich<\/strong>, who sadly passed away last year. Artistic imagery reveals the deep roots of Ukrainian culture, which unite generations and make the heart of every Ukrainian beat as one.
