Rafting on mountain rivers is an extreme activity that involves a certain degree of risk to the life and health of participants. However, given the appropriate complexity of the river section, the level of training of the group, compliance with the necessary safety standards, and most importantly, accompanied by a professional guide-instructor, this activity is relatively safe and quite exciting. Rafting is the rafting of a group of people down a river on a special inflatable vessel called a raft. The word \"rafting\" comes from the English word \"raft\", which means \"raft\", although a modern raft has little in common with a traditional wooden raft. In essence, a raft in the modern sense is an inflatable boat of a special design, with a resilient hull made of modern synthetic materials, with a capacity of 4 to 20 people. The most common are boats with a capacity of 6-8 people. The main feature of a raft is its high stability on water and versatility of use. The use of a raft can be quite diverse - from a one-day family walk on calm water to its use in long expeditions or rescue operations. However, the most popular is rafting on the so-called \"white water\" - rafting in a stormy, rapid flow of a mountain river with the passage of its various rapids, drains, barrels and other water obstacles.<\/p>

Given the conditions in which rafting often takes place, it is mandatory to use special protective equipment. In order to reduce the risk to life and health in such aggressive conditions, you need such equipment as a special helmet to protect your head and a life jacket. You may also need special footwear and thermal insulation clothing, as mountain rivers are not known for their warm water, as they often originate on glaciers high in the mountains and flow in deep, shady gorges.<\/p>
