The author, a historian and co-founder of the NGO Museum Open for Repair, explores the emergence of the memorial tradition of the tragic pages of Ukrainian history in the twentieth century and its layering in time and space on the example of a monument in Vynohradiv, Zakarpattia region. It will be moderated by the co-founder of the same space, Dana Brezhneva.
The lecture is being implemented in cooperation with the Sorry No Rooms Residence, which draws attention to the role of culture and art during the Russian-Ukrainian war and aims to implement institutionally critical projects related to cultural heritage (tangible and intangible) and the development of artistic and cultural institutions.
