On 8 October, at 15:00, an exhibition of Transcarpathian artist Vladyslav Hanzel will open in the Transcarpathian Museum of Folk Architecture and Life (Uzhhorod, Kapitulna st., 33a).

Vladyslav Hanzel (born in 1947) is a painter, graphic artist, architect, head of the Transcarpathian Regional Branch of the National Union of Architects of Ukraine, deputy head of the Union of Professional Artists of Transcarpathia. Since childhood, he was engaged in painting in the Uzhhorod art studio of Zoltan Bakoniia. In 1972, he graduated from the Faculty of Architecture of the Kyiv State Art Institute, after which he worked at the State Enterprise "Zakarpatdipromisto" in Uzhhorod until 2006. He is the founder and head of the private enterprise DAB Project. He is a member of the city planning councils of Uzhhorod, Chop, as well as the Uzhhorod District and Zakarpattia Regional State Administrations.

The architect has designed more than 200 objects in many settlements of Transcarpathia. He has won many creative competitions. In addition to architecture, his vocation and passion is fine art. He has participated in many plein airs and art exhibitions in Ukraine, Slovakia, and Hungary. He is a master of watercolour, pastel and combined media. His inspiration is nature itself.
