VYSHYVANKA DAY IN UZHHOROD SKANSEN!
We have prepared an interesting programme to mark the Day of Vyshyvanka, so we are in a hurry to share the announcement. On this wonderful day, be sure to plan a visit to our museum
The following events will take place as part of the celebration:
- From Folk Sources is an exhibition from the museum's collection.
10.30 - lecture "Local features of clothing embroidery of Transcarpathia". Lecturer - Roman Pylyp, PhD in Art History, Head of the Department of Decorative and Applied Arts of the Transcarpathian Academy of Arts.
From 11.30 - One-day plein air "Models in folk costumes". Students and teachers of the Transcarpathian Academy of Arts will be painting girls in folk costumes of Transcarpathia, as well as portraits for everyone.
From 12.00 - a masterclass in pottery. The master is Viacheslav Vinkovskyi, Honoured Artist of Ukraine, member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine.
13.00 - a lecture-excursion "Traditions of Transcarpathian Embroidery" (Tetiana Sologub-Kotsan, Head of the Museum's Department of Research and Education) and a master class in embroidery using the "cut-out" technique (Viktoria Symkovych, Head of the Department of Exposition and Research).
15.00 - Forum-exhibition of Ukrainian national clothes "UaDNA" (organised by the Ukrainian Academy of Leadership and the Department of Education, Youth and Sports of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration):
- opening of an exhibition of national costumes from different regions of Ukraine.
- a lecture by an expert in the history of clothing on the depth of the significance of Ukrainian national clothing.
- a demonstration of traditional Ukrainian clothing and its importance in the modern world.
