Exhibition "And in the noise of the harmonium you can hear the voices of the muses"

For two years now, the aggressor has been trying to destroy our nation, its culture, history and traditions. Museums and their collections have also suffered from numerous rocket attacks. Nevertheless, our indomitable people do not give up and the fight against the enemy continues on all fronts. One of the ways of confrontation is the development and enrichment of our cultural heritage. And museums contribute to this. The enrichment of collections is particularly important in this context. Even in this extremely difficult time of war, the museum's funds are replenished with new acquisitions. During 2022-2024, concerned Ukrainians, residents of Zakarpattia and other regions of Ukraine, and even foreign citizens, donated items to the museum's collections, including documents, photos, and books.

The Transcarpathian Regional Local History Museum opened a temporary exhibition, which is a kind of report to the public about the museum's work on the cultural front, namely in enriching the Museum Fund of Ukraine. Its goal is to show that despite the enemy's attempts to destroy our people, history and culture, Ukraine will not give in. This exhibition presents some of the exhibits that came to the institution after the full-scale invasion on 24 February 2022. These are items of a very different nature - from archaeological finds and numismatics to samples of weapons of the Ukrainian and enemy armies, decorative and applied arts and the heritage of prominent figures of the region. They were donated by individuals, volunteers, NGOs and government agencies.
