Folk private museum "Silver Land"
Folk private museum "Silver Land" - is a vivid example of how, in our too fast-paced times, the culture of our ancestors is being preserved and multiplied for no profit thanks to the enthusiasm of one person.
The number of exhibits gathered in a small area in 3 museum rooms would probably be enough for a dozen exhibition halls, some of them are unique and could become an adornment of any capital museum. Among them are a handwritten Gospel and 65 other folios of religious content (eighteenth century), an ancient church chalice, an icon of the Transcarpathian school of painting, the first Ukrainian hryvnia, and rare stamps from many countries. In addition, the museum has more than 200 samples of clothing, mostly Hutsul, 250 homespun towels, spinning machines with reels, and a large number of household items (barrels, butter churns, jugs, berbenichki, painted plates). In general, the exhibits are grouped into 12 departments, depending on the subject matter of the expositions.
In the museum, you can also admire an exhibition of paintings by the Transcarpathian artist V. Tehza, who is also the owner of the museum. The artist's paintings include still lifes depicting ancient household items, religious buildings (wooden churches), and landscapes of his native land.
