Synevyr National Nature Park
The birth of the Synevyr National Nature Park is associated with the unique beauty of the mountain lake under the heavens with the same name as Synevyr. In order to preserve this magical creation of nature, a landscape reserve of national importance "Synevyr Lake" was established in 1974, and in 1989, the Synevyr National Park was created to protect a number of other valuable natural sites in the upper Tereblya Valley of Mizhhirya district.
The area of the Synevyr National Park is 43 thousand square metres.
The main tasks for the Synevyr National Park as a nature conservation organisation are:
- preservation of valuable natural complexes and objects;
- creation of conditions for organised tourism, recreation and other types of recreational activities in natural conditions in compliance with the regime of protection of natural complexes and their changes in terms of recreational use;
- development of scientific recommendations on environmental protection and sustainable use of natural resources;
- environmental education, etc.
The uniqueness of the nature of this corner of the Carpathians lies in its uniqueness and aesthetic value of a number of objects, including the Synevyr and Ozirce lakes, the Hlukhany and Zamshatka marshes, the Strymba and Negrovets mountains... There are also picturesque landscapes, babbling streams, tumultuous waterfalls, evergreen forests - all of which attract travellers not only from Ukraine but also from all over the world.
