There are about 50 caves in Transcarpathia, most of which are located in Tyachiv district, near the villages of Mala and Velyka Uholka, as well as caves in the Cherlenyi Kamen tract near the village of Neresnytsia. The largest cave in the Ukrainian Carpathians is Druzhba. The entrance is located at an altitude of about 500 m in a beech forest on the outskirts of the village of Mala Uholka. It is located at the bottom of a shallow three-metre ellipsoidal karst funnel with steep, precipitous walls. The total length of all the studied passages of Druzhba cave is 900 m and the depth is 45 m. The air temperature in different parts of the cave ranges from +5 to +8 degrees, and the humidity is 95 %.
Speleotourism
In Uzhhorod district, north of Hlyboke village, there are several mines formed as a result of iron ore mining for the Antalovets foundry in the 1930s.
The caves vary in length - from a few to 240 metres.
