Paragliding - is not only a fascinating and incredibly spectacular sport, but also a great way to spend time with friends and family. There are several good places for paragliding in Zakarpattia.
Borzhava ridge
The Borzhava ridge, with an altitude of 1300 to 1700 m, stretches for 25 km. Main peaks: Velykyi Verkh (1598 m), Stiy (1681 m), Temnatyk (1343 m).
The treeless zone of the ridge is located above 1200 m. The ridge has side branches in the north-eastern direction with a length of 10 km. You can start from any place on the ridge, but the best option is the top of Velykyi Verkh. Flights are possible over the ridge and parallel to the ridge - along the valley from the north-eastern side.
The nearest town is Volovets. The pilots and paragliders are delivered to the start by a tractor with a trailer. The trip from Volovets takes 2 hours, of which the ascent to the top on foot takes 30 minutes.
You can also go paragliding in the Perechyn district. The Runa meadow is ideal for this.
